We take 5 with Chantelle, our new sales recruit!

Check out this short Q&A with Tasbuilt’s newest team member...

Chantelle has recently joined Tasbuilt in a sales role. We sat down with her to learn more about her sales experience, her vision for Tasbuilt, her personality, and more. Welcome to the team Chantelle, it's great to have you on board!

Chantelle, tell us a little about yourself...

I am 26 years old and come from a large family. I enjoy spending time with my 11 nieces and nephews! In my spare time I enjoy going on road trips, dining out, going on waterfall adventures with my partner, and spending quality time with friends.

What attracted you to the Sales Consultant role at Tasbuilt?

I was at the point in my life where I wanted to be in a career where I have the opportunity to make a positive impact on others' lives. Helping clients build the 'Australian Family Dream' is exciting and extremely rewarding.

What key strengths do you bring to our team?

I believe my key strength would be my organisational and communication skills. Being organised ensures you’re on track with all tasks and have sound understanding of your next process. Communication is also key! Keeping your team members and clients in the loop is a must to ensure their experience is as seamless and pleasurable as possible.

What's a previous work accomplishment that makes you proud?

I am proud of all my previous accomplishments because I know I did my absolute best for all my clients. The one accomplishment that stands out to me the most would have to be when I made the transition into Sales. The position I moved into was a first-time role in Tasmania! This role required me to work closely with my colleagues to ensure all changes to the company were seamless. This saw the state finish not only on budget, but we doubled our targets!

Do you prefer working as part of a team or solo?

I enjoy a balance of both. Working within a team means you have support and the opportunity to bounce ideas between each other. Working alone from time to time is also a positive because it gives you the chance to reflect on your current tasks and projects, and ensure you’re on track with no distractions.

How do you deal with/manage deadlines?

I live by deadlines! A deadline keeps you structured. I believe without a deadline, you can easily get off track and have the task/project become messy and take longer than expected. A deadline keeps you in check and well organised. I also believe that by having a deadline, it encourages you to resolve 'hiccups' quicker, to get your project back on track to meet the original deadline.

Describe your ideal work environment...

Supportive, comfortable, and fun! A supportive environment means positive vibes. If there is a positive vibe throughout your office, it makes the working day super successful. However, when we are all heads down working hard, it's always nice to also be able to have a friendly joke within the team. We spend so many hours each week together, why not make sure everyone is supported, happy, and comfortable within themselves/their work?

Where do you see Tasbuilt Homes in 5 years?

I can't wait to see the Tasbuilt Homes family grow as we build more and more Australian 'family dreams'! I see Tasbuilt Homes growing tremendously within the next 5 years, which is super exciting to be a part of.

And just for fun... what ridiculous thing has someone tricked you into doing/believing?

The answers are endless… the cat is out of the bag! I can be very gullible if someone is good enough at telling the story. You sell the story, and I will more than likely fall for it… but shhh, don’t tell everyone!😉
