Project Focus – Bass Strait Views

This Tasbuilt Home proudly overlooks the majestic Bass Strait, also taking in the river mouth views of the Tamar River including the famous Low Head lighthouse.

While we completed this home almost 7 years ago, Tasbuilt are thrilled to have received some stunning photos of this impressive home, showing just how well it captures the grandeur of the surrounding landscape.

This project presented a number of challenges, including an extremely undulating site, a high bushfire attack level, and some unique design elements. We used a fire rated lightweight render external finish that provides a low maintenance façade and great thermal insulation properties. Extensive glazing (all double glazed of course) and great use of fixed picture windows combined with opening glazed panels for airflow capture the stunning views and exquisite sunsets.

Other features of this home include a shower/bath in the ensuite with amazing ocean views, grand open plan living area with raked ceiling, and a generous and well-appointed kitchen.
