Tell us a little bit about yourself

I live in Launceston with my partner and dog. Grew up on the North-west coast in Ulverstone. I enjoy camping and spending time with friends and family.

How long have you been in the building industry?

Approximately eight years. Started as an apprentice and worked my way up through the ranks. Now I enjoy helping people make colour choices and decisions to make their ideal house/design.

What did you enjoy most "out on the tools"?

Always building different things. No design is ever exactly the same. Also, it gave me a lot of pride to see my work completed.

What areas of building do you find the most interesting?

The interiors of people's houses. Everyone always has different tastes and design ideas which keeps it interesting.

Where do you see the Building & Construction Industry heading in 10 years time?

I believe there will be more women in the industry.

I believe safety, quality of materials and completion times will all be much better and quicker.

Drones may even be the new way to check access to sites etc.
