A true riverside escape with earthy tones like no other.
A truly unique version of the Braddon home design is this earthy and elegant escape. With so much to love and talk about this home, let us take you for a journey through this home. But there’s more, we know you’re going to love this home, and guess what, you have the opportunity to stay in this home yourself. Scroll down to find out more.
Let’s start from the location, this home has been placed on a steep block, sloping down towards the river. It maybe a block that many others would shy away from due to its level, but the modular method allows for such blocks to be very useful, as it was in this situation. Not only were the clients able to make use of a difficult block with views to die for, they also raised the home off the ground to ensure the views were maximized in every direction. Wrapped in charcoal cladding, and then complimented with timber sub-floor and garage cladding, it is a stunning earthy feature that runs right through the home, making for a cosy and elegant home.
Now for the interior, it’s a simple layout but an efficient design. With two bedrooms on either end of the home, they both have the luxury touch of a door out to the back deck, and to breathtaking Tassie views. Both bedrooms have the added convenience of a walk-in robe and ensuite, finished with pops of character like timber-look cabinetry, dark and moody tiles and black tapware.
The open plan living and dining room are anchored by one showstopper – the floor to ceiling fire place, with a joining freestanding bench seat. This isn’t just something to give out warmth, it’s a true feature of this home which takes it to another level. Special to the Braddon design are the large sliding doors and highlight windows at the back of the home, which allow for a light flooded interior space.
And then at the front of the home is the simple but perfectly complimented kitchen with a walk-in pantry. With subtle features like marble benchtops and waterfall end, timber overhead cupboards, dark timber-look kickboard, and a glass splash back, it’s the perfect kitchen to cook up a storm in.
