THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Qualified Painter, you will lead and oversee all aspects of painting operations for residential and commercial projects in a team-focused environment. Your responsibilities include managing a team of painters, coordinating workflow, ensuring quality standards, and adhering to project timelines while maintaining high safety standards and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Train, supervise, and mentor a team of painters, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Project Planning and Coordination: Develop work schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate painting activities to meet project milestones and deadlines and make accurate reports. 
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures, conduct inspections, and ensure all painting work meets industry standards and client expectations.
• Surface Preparation and Application: Oversee surface preparation and supervise the application of paints and finishes to achieve high-quality results.
• Materials and Equipment Management: Manage the procurement, inventory, and maintenance of painting materials and equipment.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and regulations, conduct safety training, and ensure compliance with environmental and hazardous material handling protocols.
• Client Communication: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide updates, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

ABOUT YOU

You are a qualified and experienced painter with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to supportive teamwork. Known for delivering high-quality workmanship, you excel in maintaining safety while meeting project deadlines and maintaining a positive team environment. 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Average 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial painting role.

Extensive knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment.

Working knowledge of Work Health & Safety (WHS) regulations.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Proven problem-solving abilities and initiative.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to exceeding client expectations.

Relevant certifications in painting, safety, or project management are a plus
