Most Popular Rooflines
The most common rooflines chosen by Tasbuilt customers!

The roofline of a house can either make or break the home, if not chosen carefully to suit the rest of the home and the look you’re going after. Whether you’re trying to decide on the best roofline for your home or not, we’ve identified and explained three rooflines that we see the most in our modular homes.
The Gable Roofline
By far the most popular design around the globe, it sure is a stunner! A gable roofline is where two slopes meet at a central point at the tip of the roof, creating a peak, or a tip. This results in a triangle at the gable ends. The result is an exterior look that is simple yet so stunning.
Out of the gable rooflines that we’ve had the privilege of building for our customers, there sure have been some beauties. From large glass triangle windows in the gable for added light, to timber lined ceilings, they look fabulous no matter how you choose to do it!
So what does a gable roofline do for you? Choosing a gable roofline means that elements like water, debris and snow drain off very easily, due to the steeper slopes down each side. This means that your modular home will not only stay looking nice for longer, it will also mean that the risk of water damage from your roof is significantly reduced.
The Flat Roofline
Another stunning roofline, and one which is a star feature of our MOD2 plan range is the flat roofline. As the name suggests, it is quite literally a flat roofline, well lets say, almost flat. To most people, it would appear flat, but in reality, they do have a very slight slope to allow for water run-off.
So what makes this roofline that so many of our customers love, so special? Well it’s because of it’s bold and modern look it gives. Often exuding the ‘box’ look, if you’re pursuing a bold exterior look that is stylish and modern, then the flat roofline maybe a good option.
What are the advantages of the flat roofline? Not only is it easily accessible for maintenance purposes, it also allows you to make your roof work for you, through a rooftop garden. The almost flat roof allows you to implement and grow a garden on the roof of your home.
The Split Skillion Roofline
The last roofline but certainly not least that features regularly on our Tasbuilt homes - the split skillion roofline. The split skillion roofline is when is when you have two skillion rooflines in the one home, leaning up to each other. This will result in a gap in between the high sides of each skillion, often allowing for highlight windows in the gap.
The split skillion roofline is ideal for those seeking a statement roofline with plenty of variety. The split skillion allows for more than one skillion section in the one house, meaning that the options are endless for what you can do.
What makes a split skillion roofline a good option? Like the gable roofline, it allows for effective runoff for the home, due to the slopes, ideal for water and other elements to flow off with ease.
So what roofline is the roofline for you? Or maybe you’re dreaming of a mix of two. The ideas are endless, but just remember to choose one that is uniquely you and suits the style of home that you’re dreaming of.
